We invite you to become a fan of “Against the Wind” on
Facebook. There, you’ll find updates on the status of the film project and you’ll be the first to learn of other contests related to the project. Making a movie is just like running a marathon, and we are on mile 1. Thanks for your continued support, and we’ll see you at the finish line!
The Against the Wind 5k Virtual Race will raise funds to create an inspirational feature film about the life of Dick Beardsley, his famous "Duel in the Sun" race and his monumental victory over drug addiction.
Runners from all over the world will run their own 5k locally, submit their times and be united in an international virtual racing community, with prizes and benefits for all participants.
In addition, a percentage of proceeds from the race will be used to fund a feature film about the true life story of legendary marathon runner Dick Beardsley. The feature film, "Against the Wind," will help the foundation in its mission to inspire and educate the public about the benefits of living a healthy, active, chemically-free life.
